The impact of SDS event on Mongolia and Northern China

Starting from 11 May 2020, a SDS event occurred mainly from the southerly area of Central Mongolia, making an impact on the source area of Asian dust in the central part of Inner Mongolia in China and some areas in the Northern China Plain, including Beijing (on about 17:00 BJT). WMO SDS-WAS Beijing Dust Operational Forecasting Centre provide a good forecast for it. The three-dimensional movie of the dust concentration change by the BEIJING Centre was used by the Chinese CCTV news program to elaborate the event to the public.
