A huge cloud of Saharan Dust from Africa is moving across the Atlantic and has reached South America, as forecast by Copernicus ECMWF and detected 9 June by the Sentinel5p satellite. Saharan dust plumes can cause health issues but they also support the biodiversity of the Atlantic Ocean islands & of the Amazon Rainforest, as they transport unique nutrients.(Reported by WMO)
